Compact Universal Programmer Handles A Number Of Devices

Toronto, Canada - GAO Embedded (www.GAOEmbedded.com) is offering its compact universal

programmer which is capable of automatically identifying the manufacturer and type of inserted device. This universal programmer tests EPROMs, TTL/CMOS logic IC devices and dynamic or static access memory devices. It features vector test capability, multi-array fuse map editor and a 48-pin ZIF socket with universal pin-drivers. The programmer offers optional universal DIP, PLCC, QFP, TSOP, PSOP, SOIC, SSOP and SDIP adapters and can be connected to a computer through USB port.

This high performance universal programmer, model VP990, handles devices including Programmable Read-Only Memory (PROM), Programmable Logic Devices (PLD), flash microcontrollers and serial or parallel memory. In auto-run mode, the high performance programmer starts programming automatically upon detection of chip insertion. The programmer supports standard file formats including JEDEC, INTEL (Extended) HEX, HOLTEK, EMC (CDS) and INTEL HEX16. It conducts poor pin contact check and manages 16bit and 32bit word split under Windows XP/2000/NT/Vista operating systems. This universal programmer provides optional universal DIP, PLCC, QFP, TSOP, PSOP, SOIC, SSOP and SDIP adapters. Additionally, it supports eight languages including English, Chinese (simplified), Chinese (traditional), , Korean, Polish, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch.
