Compostable Bin Liners Are The Natural Choice Of Bin Liner.

The fact that a bin liner is biodegradable does not necessarily mean that is compostable

. The two terms biodegradable and compostable are often confused to be the same. Compostable Bin Liners are a specific type of biodegradable bin liner that serves the purpose of making compost or organic fertilizer.

Domestic composting the bin liners that bear the stamp of "OK Compost" are supposed to disintegrate within a certain period under the conditions of a composting plant (at temperatures of 55 to 60 degrees). The result will be different if you try to compost the same bin liners in the backyard or just leave them in the wild (for which they are stamped as "OK Compost Home).

Another certification system that certifies bin liners as compostable is EN 13432. The PLA is a bioplastic that can be compostable in an industrial setting, but if you leave it in the field even for 20 years there will be no composting", warns Dewolfs. These bin liners can be collected by the municipality in each town and compost can be made out of them in open fields. In this case the collection must be totally selective, the bin liners must contain only organic waste. Practically, it becomes a bit difficult to selectively collect compostable garbage bags that contain only compostable garbage. Therefore, another simple way of composting these trash bags is to do it personally by putting them in your garden.

It also helps in eliminating a significant portion of waste destined for landfills. In addition, a successful composting program can produce soil of high quality that can be used for gardening and for agricultural purposes. Finally, waste disposal by composting contributes more to the conservation of spaces used for landfills and reduces the production of leachate (landfill leaching by rainwater that causes a risk of groundwater pollution) and methane (produced by decomposing waste in uncontrolled landfills in the open air). These clever bin bags might be slightly inconvenient to use as you have to throw only compostable waste in it but Compostable Bin Liners are definitely the best way to contribute in protecting our environment for future generations.
