, reuse and recycle. Such phrase is not just a battle cry anymore for those eco-friendly people but also a way of life. The popularity of solar panel, rain barrels and composters are strong proof enough that people are now committed in preserving Mother Nature.

Just imagine those everyday leftovers from our kitchen. Instead of directly throwing it into trash bins it can be turned into something useful. Fruit peelings, food leftovers and other biodegradable materials are perfect for composting. Composting is a process wherein organic matters are strategically decomposed to create a fertile humus or soil suited for gardening. Wherein buying of commercial fertilizers can be totally avoided. Commercial fertilizer posses hazards to the environment and to the health of the people who consumes chemically treated fruits and vegetables.

Organic gardening and organic food had been the current trend of todays individual who are committed to healthy lifestyle. Farm owners slowly adapting to their clients preference of choosing organically grown fruits and vegetables by using composters in their farms.

Consumers on the other hand cannot be blamed from the switch of preference because of the overwhelming advantage of organic food compared to chemically grown fruits and vegetables health and ecologically. Organic food contains higher level of nutrients and vitamins. As for the impact of the environment, chemical fertilizers when used in the run can strip off top soil nutrients thereby making the soil acidic and when soil erosion occurs the chemical present in commercial fertilizer can be harmful to lakes and rivers where aquatic creatures live.

Composters are a huge help to farmers, to consumers and to the nature as whole. Climate change is the collective result of mans abuse of natural resources, composting might be just provide a speck of help but when done collectively, in the long run it can have a great impact in the environment.
