Rubber mouldings can be produced using several different techniques and the most common technique is compression moulding. For simple moulding, only top and bottom steel tool is used but when it comes for complex mouldings you are not limited to just two tools. But each tool will have single or multiple cavities which cut them and give the final moulding product. Before commencing into compression moulding, the material should be needed to get prepared. And the most important part of the process is to cut the product in a specific weight and size else the final moulding product will be affected. The size and weight of the rubber material determines the material flow under heat and compression.

Once the size and shape is determined, the moulding tool should be setup where the pre-cut material is filled into machine cavity. The mould is then closed and heated up to pre-determined temperature which gives the desired shape. Once the moulding cycle gets completed the part can be removed and excess rubber or flash can be trimmed from the part.

Injection Moulding:

In Injection Moulding, there are two parts which should be considered such as injection unit which inject the molten plastic and clamping unit that forms the die. Initially the mould is made by melting the plastic that is used which is then clamped under by clamping unit. Then the injection unit will inject the fluid into die. Once the injector is clamped into the die, it can directly inject the clamp into the die where it would be molded. The mould is then cooled till it becomes hard which is known as dwelling phase.
