Concerned About Security? Upgrade Your Mechanical Lock

Your company has been around for quite some time and has seen a lot of changes go through it

. It is also getting bigger which is a good thing. This means more business to be done, employees that will be working there, and more products and/or services to offer people. What this also means is a greater spotlight on your company. Most of the time this is a good thing as it means more people are talking and hearing about you which can mean more business coming your way in one form or another. But a negative aspect that can be born of this increased success is that of unscrupulous competitors or thieves trying to break in and steal your property.

You want to be prepared for that. Back in the day when there were only a handful of employees taking up the backroom of a bigger office complex a simple locked door with a small number of keys floating around might have been secure enough. But odds are that is not the case anymore, especially if the company is big and not everyone knows everyone else. If that is the case, it is time to upgrade your old mechanical locks with the latest in high-tech fingerprint door locks.

Fingerprint door locks are very secure devices that do not rely on a physical, metal key. Keys can be misplaced, stolen, and even copied. The latter two provide very easy ways for thieves to get into places they should not be able to normally. Also, the locks themselves can be picked by the most determined and expert thieves. This goes to show that these old mechanical locks are not as secure as people think. A fingerprint door lock uses a key that cannot be lost or copied: a fingerprint. Besides that, there is no keyhole and tumblers on these locks to pick or manipulate. Both of these things combined make for a more secure entryway.

Another important security feature fingerprint door locks provide is the ability to track who accesses each door and at what time. In a large company with so many employees, not all of them should have access to every area. A fingerprint time clock keeps track of who goes in and out of an area. If an employee should not be accessing that door, or they should not be there at an unauthorized time, the clock will note that for supervisors to review. This will help fight off corporate espionage from within as well as without.

Fingerprint door locks are seeing increased use these days and it only makes sense. They are more secure than traditional locks. It is time to move from those old lock-and-key doors don't you think?
