Condo Rentals And The Association Regulations

When it comes to property regulations, condo rentals must follow all of the rules just like a regular owner

. This means that it is important that the owner communicates the expectations to the renters. These guidelines are set up to ensure that the property is well maintained and the value remains high. Occupants that do not comply are often fined until the necessary changes are made.

Parking

Parking can be a real issue when the rules are not followed. Condo rentals each have a certain parking spot (sometimes two parking spots) that can be used by the occupants. When one person does not follow the rules, it can be a problem for the other residents so there is no doubt that this is an offense that could incur a fine. Most properties have some type of common area where overflow vehicles and guests can park. There is rarely any room for boats, RVs or other larger vehicles that do not fit into traditional parking spaces.

Patios, Decks, and Entryways

While the inside of condo rentals can be decorated and arranged in any way imaginable, the outside areas need to be kept in a certain order. The colors should be the same throughout the property and there are certain objects that are allowed in around these areas. For example, it might be acceptable to have a small table and chairs outside but it would not be acceptable to leave trash outside or something like a couch out by the front door.

Seasonal Decorations

Each property is different however many condo rentals are located on properties that have rules about seasonal decorations. While there are not usually limits to what can be displayed, there are specific guidelines to the timing of the decorations. For example, the association may only allow decorations to be out one month before the holiday and require that they be up between one and two weeks after.

There are several ways to let new occupants of the condo rentals know about the rules and regulations set aside by the association. Some owners choose to give the renters a copy of the guidelines for them to read through. Others just choose to go over the major points to ensure that things go well within the community.

Regardless of who is living in the unit, the fines are usually sent out to the property owner. It will be his or her responsibility to address the concern and have things back to the way they should be as soon as possible. The warning letters are sent out first and then if nothing changes, the fines will be handed out. To keep the property in great condition and to ensure that renters have a problem-free experience, it is important to explain the rules and regulations surrounding the condominiums.
