Condos As Alternative Vacation Homes
Condos are separate dwellings which are located in a high rise building
. These units usually have a small floor space good enough for a single person or a couple. The bigger spaces can house a small family of parents and a couple of small kids. These are different from apartments and lofts. They are usually a single room which has no big divisions or counters which are permanent. Some units have a division from the larger space from the allotted kitchen or sink.
Rentals
As vacation homes, condos have their advantages and disadvantages. Among the advantages that these units have, the most striking is the big price difference it offers renters compared to hotels and resorts. Condominiums usually have a larger body count limit regarding the number of people who can stay in it for the duration of the vacation. Compared to hotels that charge for every extra person and extra bed that will be used, they can offer large savings. Although some hotels and resorts do offer family rooms which are capable of housing up to ten individuals, they also charge accordingly. The dwellings do have a limit with regards the number of people who can stay in them but this can be quite lax as long as the renters are not boisterous and generate complaints from the neighboring units. Another clear advantage that accompanies condos is the kitchen facility that one usually has.
Many of the owners of these dwellings equip them with a basic kitchen so that renters can also cook their own food if they are so inclined. Renters need to make arrangements with the owner of the rental management firm before renting with regards to whether they will be using the kitchen facilities or not. This is so that they can be equipped with the basics for cooking. Some of these vacation rentals come with electric ovens and ranges which do not need to be attached to gas in order to use. Many of them also have microwave ovens which just need to be checked out by the owner or the management firm before being rented out to vacationers. Many of the rental management firms maintain the facilities of these condominiums to make sure that they are all usable and in good working condition. Those who will be renting will also be provided with a list of things which are found in the unit so that they are aware which is working and which is not.
One glaring disadvantage of getting condos for vacation homes is the lack of service that is very obvious in hotels and resorts. For people or families who wish to live luxuriously for their vacation, hotels and resorts may be best for them because of the extent of the service that these places extend to their guests. Room service and other recreational facilities are always present in them while not all of the condominium units can boasts recreational facilities. Another disadvantage is the location of some of the buildings which house these units. Not all are located in prime tourist areas and may even be quite distant from those attractions.
