Confessions Of A Broke Network Marketer

"I am a recovering 'brokaholic'." I religiously did everything my sponsor told me to do from attending every meeting, training and conference call

. Although I would go days, weeks, months without a new recruit I did it over and over again. My close mindedness left me digging a whole and not turning a single profit or just breaking even. Anything that did not conform to my rich upline I didn't listen. Insane?

Come one people; am I all alone in this?

Every meeting, training and conference call was spent with other networkers in my company, no new prospects. I then began casing out hotels, car dealerships and malls for prospects. I even got booted out of parking lots for putting flyers on cars.

Is anyone relating to this?


I later found out that I was not alone in my company with the same problem. I also realized there are people in other network marketing companies that have the same challenge. There were probably a few thousand people out of the 100's of thousands of network marketing companies that can relate to my experience.

I thought about the late 1800's during the California Gold Rush where thousands flocked to grab a piece of a possible fortune. Everyone always focuses on the people that prospected for gold but never on the people who provided the tools to the prospectors. Here is what I mean; the wealth that was truly realized was from the mom and pop shops that sold the pick axes, shovels and gold pans. They provided the tools to all the prospectors. The prospectors were in the mindset that if I want to be successful I better get the right tools or else I will fail.

The success rate of network marketers is only 2%, that 2% understands that the use of quality tools helps to build and sustain their income. They also put great value in their organization (network). They can turn on their income faucet with a valuable tool and within a matter of hours of offering it to their network they are in profit mode.

Once you limit your income to just your primary business you will lose, big. Statistically 98% of your prospects are never going to join your primary business so why not provide world class tools to those people and not leave money on the table. Now this sustains you until you primary starts paying you, provides fresh leads and funds your marketing efforts. Your recommendation of quality tools means holds more weight once your prospect trusts and likes you. Got it?
