Considering Liposuction: Make An Informed Decision
Liposuction, like just about every medical and cosmetic procedure
, has evolved over the years since it was invented. Nothing ever stays the same. Procedures are always improved upon, making them less painful, less invasive, and less damaging. In fact, liposuction, or "lipo," has changed so much over the years that it doesn't even have to be done surgically. You can get the same results as with a surgical liposuction without going under the knife and having to endure the same side effects. It's called "SmartLipo" and it can be done over your lunch break. Isn't that what all of us want? An easier way to get a more attractive appearance?
While liposuction is a great way to get the look that you want, there are still some things you should keep in mind while doing this "Lunchtime Lipo" procedure. First of all, you should remember that this procedure is not a magic pill. It won't generate weight loss. Most cosmetic surgeons will not perform liposuction unless you are following a fitness and health plan. You may be only 20 or 30 pounds above your ideal weight.
Another thing to keep in mind is that you will need repeated treatments, so don't expect all your troubles to go away with one visit to your cosmetic surgeon. SmartLipo isn't the only cosmetic procedure that needs multiple treatments in order to get your desired results. Do a little research on the Internet and you'll see that this is perfectly normal.
In researching this procedure, you may determine that SmartLipo is not the right treatment for you. Then again, you may learn that it's the perfect treatment for your cellulite, especially if you have a fear of surgery or treatments that involve injections. A list may help you figure out the benefits and drawbacks of each of the procedures.
Internet research is a great way to find out about the procedures and whether treatments like SmartLipo are the best choice for you. But how will you choose the most competent and talented cosmetic surgeon who will do the work? You may not have to look further than your neighbor, friends, or even a family member. They may have already had work done, so they may be the perfect resource to help you find the best SmartLipo doctor.
But don't stop there. With a list of names, visit the Better Business Bureau, the State Department in the state you live, or anywhere else where customers can file complaints about their doctors. You can also check for lawsuits filed in the municipality in which you live. That may give you a good idea whether a doctor has a history of problems.
With all this information in hand, you must now decide how much you will spend to get your desired look. Will your budget allow you to go the nonsurgical liposuction route or will you have enough money to have liposuction surgery? Is Smart Lipo the best choice for the results you want? Does your preferred doctor have a history of complaints? These are all questions you will need to ask before choosing which kind of skin-rejuvenating treatment is right for you.
