The performance speed of a motor connected to a VFD is varied by changing the frequency of the motor supply voltage and allows continuous speed process. These are often designed in such a way that they can hold the peak load with safety.

VVFD Drive

Variable voltage frequency drive is that when speed is controlled by varying frequency. These are mainly designed to control the speed or to maintain the same rotation or speed even during the voltage fluctuation. These are the good units which help to lower the consumption of power.
