Copper has the property of absorbing heat; this is why they are used to make computer heat sinks.

Microwave used in our day to day life also contain copper in the form of Magnetrons. It absorbs heat to increase the intensity of heat, keep the temperature maintained for longer time and allow it to regulate.

In computers, the metal is used in both vacuum tubes and cathode ray tubes. Reason is their good conductor feature and ability to retain heat.

Surprisingly, copper is also used in edible items like in fungicides and nutritional supplements. You might not know but human body also demands a little portion of copper as nutrition.

It is also a great water-proof roofing material. 25% of all the copper produced is utilized in buildings.
