Cordless Straighteners - Maybe one evening there will be a much better way?

If only curly, frizzy hair would come into fashion! How many men have I lost due to my frizz

? Have you ever pulled a tight hat down over your hair as you drop off to sleep in the hope it will help you avoid the humiliation of out of control hair?

All I was praying for was to be like my popular friends. It's not as if I was asking a lot, is it?

Maybe if I'd been born years earlier when Afro hair styles were in then I could have played it cool. But life slapped me into a pale white red head body - and a bush instead of hair - guess it's my Celtic roots! My teens were one long battle to avoid humilation and taunting! I scoured magazines for tips on straighteneing hair, from vingar to irons I tried it alll Sitting with a wooly hat on while it dried, hair driers of every description. Even a Kojak would have been better than my living hell.

One day it all changed!!! :o)

Sometime you never know who that person who helped you was. I'd love to shake his or her hand though because they changed my life for ever, Who could my here be you wonder? Like I said earlier I don't know but I guess it's come corporate engineer who invented cordless straighteners :o)

Laugh if you must but remember you weren't in the pain that I was living though. Whoever it was in that white coat they did me one HUGE favour!

This really was a little piece of magic!

For the first time in my life. Lock up your sons you mothers of the world - I was ready to get myself a man! My hair was so straight I looked like Morticia of the Adams family, and I loved it.

My love life took off at the same time, whether this was the straight hair, or the boost in my self- confidence that made the difference, I may never know. Maybe one day I'll marry one of these guys but for now I'm going to enjoy the freedom to choose.

I've already had a few proposals, and it's only been 15 months. I think I'm begining to believe in fairies.
