Or patients can opt for local anesthesia with use of an oral sedative; this involves the use of numbing injections to the knees, and the oral intake of a pill that will help keep the patient calm and relaxed during treatment. Once the sedation has taken effect, the surgeon will create an incision, pull the skin taut, and remove excess skin. The incision will be closed with sutures and cleaned, and then bandages will be applied to compress the area and protect the incision from infection.

Recovery from Knee Lift Surgery

After knee left surgery, patients should take it easy for a few days. Patients can shower or take a bath the day after surgery, but should take care not to open the stitches.
