Cosmetic Stem Cell Procedures
By now everybody knows the ABCs of cosmetic medicine. Whether you're hoping to improve your body's contour, enlarge your breasts, buttocks, or erase the signs of aging from your face, there are numerous ways to achieve the desired results.
The popular options involve plastic surgery and / or dermal fillers which introduce foreign substances into the patient's body and affect its immune system. All of these options have benefits and produce desired results. Each however is accompanied also by its own risks and potential complications. Each involves costs: in terms of financial expense as well as possible long term health risks.
There is however a new option available which produces the results you long for without the risks the patient has to accept with traditional cosmetic procedures. The breakthrough is provided by cosmetic procedures that utilize stem cell technology. (Not to worry, there are no embryos involved!)
What's the major difference? In conventional cosmetic procedures there are two main risks to the patient: risks related to the extent of a procedure (such as general anesthesia or scarring) and risks (and there are always risks!) caused by the use of foreign materials to enhance one's body. Most cosmetic stem cell procedures are minimally-invasive so the procedure-specific risks are practically non-existent; there is no general anesthesia or a scalpel involved. None of them involve foreign substances to which the patient may be allergic; have a negative reaction immediately or even years after the actual procedure.
All cosmetic stem cell procedures rely on the principle of autograft (also known as auto- transplant) which means that the tissue used to enlarge or plump the desired area of the patient's body is harvested from another area of the patient's own body. Consequently, there is no foreign material involved; no allergic reaction is possible; and no long term health risks or complications to be expected. (No, the autograft isn't all there is to the cosmetic stem cell procedures. As far as the patient's safety is concerned, the autograft is the reason why cosmetic stem cell treatments are not only effective but safe.)
There are two other factors that make the procedures a major breakthrough.
The technology for performing cosmetic stem cell procedures is so sophisticated and gentle that the procedures can be performed on outpatient basis, in the doctor's office. The instrument used in performing autograft is a microcannula as thin as the tip of a pen so the risk of scarring is minimal or none at all. Consequently, the recovery time is very brief; the length depends on the extent of a specific procedure. (In many cases, there is no downtime at all!)
So many women - even young, healthy and leading active lifestyles - have some localized fat pockets they wish they could get rid of; the very same women often wish to enhance other body parts, like their breasts or buttocks. With the new cosmetic stem cell procedures it is possible to remove excess fat with liposcuction; process the patient's own fat cells to separate stem cells from them; concentrate the stem cells; add the stem cell "concentrate" back to the patient's fat and then inject it into the area the patient wishes to augment. Often in only one session without the need for a general anesthesia; without the use of a scalpel; and with a minimal - or no - downtime afterwards! (The cost of cosmetic stem cell procedures is usually lower than that of their conventional counterparts.)
Cosmetic stem cell procedures (Often referred to as FAMI or Fat Autograft Muscle Injections) are the new era in body sculpting and facial rejuvenation. They achieve the results the patients hope for without the risks inherent to plastic surgery and even most of non-invasive cosmetic procedures. They are the first truly holistic, natural and safe cosmetic treatments. Without a doubt, FAMI is the future of cosmetic medicine.
