The downsides to this procedure include a higher incidence of complications and it has substantially more difficult and more painful recovery. This method has been made unnecessary by the new generation of extra-soft contoured silicone implants. The also provide natural results as well as an much easier and less painful recovery. You can also opt to have fat augmentation to contour and shape the calves, thought this is performed modestly.
