The marketer would have to monitor the responses, feedback or the status of the electronic marketing messages to ascertain whether or not they were effective. This would be an expense to the marketer in expediting the entire process in case they want to see the results or the outcome of the marketing process.

Not all those marketers or businesses that adopt this mode of electronic marketing achieve the desired results. This is especially for those messages which are time bound for, say, a week or a fortnight. Not all the target audiences may receive the messages on time. Other messages may however, be spammed, hence unlikely to be received. The mailing lists might also contain incorrect email addresses, hence the messages would not be sent. But, those marketers who have adopted this form of marketing and know what it takes to run successful
email campaign, have been able to realize results in increased customer or subscriber base, hence increased sales and profits for their businesses.
Precaution
The marketer could be on the safe side if they avoid adult content, unless their audience requires such kind of information. It could also be useful to the marketers to be conversant with anti-spam laws. This would alleviate the possibility of having their email account shut down.
