Costa Del Sol - Centre Of Attention

Malaga is very picturesque due to its fantastic surroundings

, but it also boasts many impressive buildings both new and old. These two things together make this city packed with splendour that can only be topped by the likes of Barcelona and Madrid. The oldest structure in the city is the Roman Theatre which dates back to the 1st century BCE. Whilst visiting you must also see the Cathedral of Malaga, the Episcopal Palace and the Iglesia de la Victoria which is a glorious chapel built in the 17th century. All these historical structures give Malaga a unique character and culture that other areas in the Costa del Sol simply cannot match.

There are many spectacles and events to take part in whilst visiting Malaga such as the August Malaga Fair where the streets are filled with objects and symbols of Spanish culture, wine and tapas will be on offer as well as flamenco shows flying by.

Malaga has its own professional football team, Malaga CF, which currently plays in La Liga which is Spain top division. You can enjoy a great experience watching a match at La Rosaleda, and with any luck during your trip you may get to catch one of Spain's big teams playing and see the likes of Messi, Ronaldo and David Villa. The Trofeo Costa del Sol is a summer pre-season tournament where many teams from around the world take part; Newcastle United and Derby County have been representatives from England in the past.

When the sun final sets in this hot climate you will find that Malaga has one of the best nightlife's within the Costa del Sol. It is as if nobody sleeps in this town and as one half closes up shop for the day the bars and clubs are just beginning. There is a buzzing party atmosphere at night in Malaga, and it is one many tourist come to enjoy most over other places among the Costa del Sol. There are many clubs to choose from with all offering a wide variety of music genre, including places like Metropol, Velvet Club, Village Green, Abyssinia, Paradise/Punto G and ChillHouse.

What, above all else, you would expect from a coastal Spanish town or city is plenty of beaches to enjoy the fine summer weather. Based on the Mediterranean Sea you will enjoy plenty of sunshine in Malaga during the summer time, and most of the year round in fact. The beaches are golden and you will find that this long stretch of sand is where many spend their days if they're not scaling the nearby hills to enjoy magnificent sights.
