Could You Recognise These Heart Attack Symptoms?

A heart attack is caused by a clot in the artery

. The clot causes a blockage that stops the blood flowing to the heart and this result in a heart attack.

However, a heart attack can be experienced in different ways and the symptoms can also be varied amongst people.

There are common symptoms and these include the following examples:

An intense chest pain. This is usually felt around the front of the chest and then spreading out to the left arm and shoulder area.

Breathlessness

Feelings of sickness

Heavy perspiration

Feelings of exhaustion and overall weakness

If you suffer from angina the symptoms can be very similar and in some cases it is difficult to tell the difference. However, the symptoms of a heart attack may happen when the person is resting or when they are not physically exerting themselves.

The symptoms of a heart attack can be understated especially with people who are suffering from other health complications such as diabetes. For example, the common symptoms of a heart attack are not the same as diabetes such as the deep chest pains. You could also argue that women who experience pains in their chest may also not be the common symptoms of a heart attack.

There are many people who will experience other warning signs days and even weeks leading up to the eventual heart attack. Some of these warning signs can be subtle to the point that many people do not recognise them until it is too late or only realize that they had them after recovering from a heart attack.

Therefore, if you consider yourself at risk then, listen carefully to your body and the signs that it is giving you. As you now know what the main warning signs are pay heed to them. As they say knowledge is power. However, this is only a half true as real power comes from taking action on the knowledge you have learned. Therefore, if you unfortunately experience any of these symptoms then, at least you will have the knowledge to know the signs of a heart attack and to take them seriously and put in place the necessary action that is required.
