Crazy world of laptops – which one is perfect for me?
I have been reviewing laptops since a long time and hence I have seen notebooks grow over a period of time
. People just can't get enough of speed and they yearn for faster chips all the time. Hence, there is a lot of time and money put in to make desktops and laptops faster. However, for the notebook, there is the problem of battery life. A good laptop should balance fast speed with long battery life. Usually, you see faster laptops having smaller battery life because the processor sucks up the battery juice quite fast. On the other hand, the laptops which have really big battery life have slower processors. Apart from that, people look for a lot of features like optical drive, graphic cards, good display, keyboard design, etc. while purchasing a laptop. Gateway in one of my favorite laptop brands and I have done a lot of
Gateway laptop reviews for my blogs. The most recent one was the Gateway ID49C07u, I liked the design; it was slim and pleasing to the eye. It featured a Core i3 processor which is one of the latest chips around and this notebook was offered at an affordable price. However, I didn't like backlit touch pad which was a bit awkward to use and the screen too felt washed out. The keyboard was flimsy and I won't recommend this laptop for people who are going to type for long hours. In my Gateway laptop reviews, I said that this notebook was priced attractively but the ergonomics left a lot to be desired. HP is a big name in the notebook market; they have been around for a while and now we are used to expecting reliable products from them. I have reviewed quite a lot of HP laptops and the one that I vividly remember is
HP Mini 5102 which is a stylish and sturdy Netbook. The display is standard 10.1 inches big with resolution of 1,024x600 pixels. This resolution is typical of standard Netbooks but there are higher end ones which give you a resolution of 1,366x768 pixels. It is a very high resolution for a small size and you to strain your eyes a bit to see it clearly. My review model of HP Mini 5102 was priced at $424 which is good value for money. Rise in the demand for laptops also means rise in the demand for their accessories. I would recommend you to take a look at
Asus laptop accessories. Asus laptops are priced relatively low (without any big compromise on quality) and the accessories too are affordably priced. Amongst the various Asus laptop accessories in the market, I have seen that demand for batteries is more than anything else. There are also a couple of other accessories available such as external portable speakers. You can have a look at them and purchase it if you like the quality. If you have plenty of money to burn, there are the high end notebooks like Dell's Alienware which is made exclusively for gamers. I have tested a few of them in my labs and have been amazed at their quality.
