Creating different moods inside your home can be a daunting task

. First, you have to make sure that all the pieces inside complement each other. You also have to make sure that you are able to highlight the best pieces without really overwhelming the senses of the visitors who would be coming over to your house.

One of the ways by which you can control the mood within your home and be able to highlight decorative pieces without spending much is by playing around with the kind of light your home has. There are two kinds of light that you can play with the natural light that is streaming to your home via the window, and the artificial light form the light bulbs inside your home.

Natural light can easily be controlled with the kind of window that you have. There are some windows that come with a tint which you can install in areas of your home where too much sunlight comes in. You can also enhance this by installing curtains and shades.

Artificial light, on the other hand, can be much easier to control as there are some artificial light bulbs that are already available in pastel colors thus, creating a more dramatic effect in any room it is installed in. The only challenge, therefore, lies in where you have it installed. If, for example, you have a number of standing iron lamp shades, you can have them placed in areas where you have bulky, iron furniture pieces. Not only would the lamp shade complement the other piece of furniture, it would also be able to create a more dramatic effect among the pieces.

You can also choose to have some iron lighting sconce installed on your wall in order to highlight painting pieces that you might have. Install it over your bed in order to have a soft light in your bedroom.

There are a number of stores where you can buy iron lighting pieces and shades. You just need to make sure that those that you would buy complement any existing piece that you already have.
