Creating Yearbooks

No one can realistically say they always enjoyed high school

, but there were always plenty of opportunities for one to get involved and really learn what their fellow class mates were like. Now, not everyone is at their most mature level of life experience in high school, and so it can sometimes be difficult to think about how hard it was trying to fit in with such a large number of people, but it is easy to admit that the options were around. At least, they were around if you were willing to take a plunge that would throw you in the middle of a group of people you probably did not know the way you might have thought. For instance, by joining a sports team in high school, you tend to find an immediate bond in your team mates, because you are with a group of people who are all striving toward the same goal, and working each and every day to reach such a peak. This drive tends to create a community where a lot of high schoolers come to learn more about one another and respect for one another. Well, in the chance you were one of those students who despised the idea of sports, no problem. There were always extracurriculars about that came with similar goals, like making the yearbooks.

To create high school yearbooks, a group of students must actually handle a lot of different facets of publishing.

The work involved does not happen overnight, either.

The production of a yearbook is a process that will take an entire school year to actually come to fruition and it all relies on student effort.

First of all, the people making yearbooks are responsible for organizing all the pictures in the book. This does not just mean taking school photos and double checking that the names line up to the tiny images, but it means having good photos to use from all the major school events. That means the school dances throughout the year, the sporting events, the extracurricular clubs, and the academic honors. One must do their best not to exclude any body, as well.

Once all the photos are put together, one has to spend a lot of time working to get the photos in a readable order in the layout design process. Here they will need to make sure that the yearbook is put together in a nice clean style that runs through the entire publication.

Outside responsibilities one must include in the committee's time is the gathering of funds from local investors who will make the cost of publishing the yearbook free for all students. This means finding the best price for printing costs as well as getting together the funds necessary.

You may now be able to tell that the creation of these yearbooks is no shot in the dark, but requires the same intense efforts as a sports team does. This means relationships and bonding will no doubt form between a lot of students one may not have considered in previous months and years.
