Nowadays, you have the choice of getting your statements in paper or to just view them online.

The choice between paper statements and online statements may seem trivial, but given the choice why not make the wise decision and choose the option which will fit your needs?

In fact, when it comes to accessibility, online statements trump paper statements since you can access them anywhere via the Internet. With paper statements, you have to keep them in your purse or go to the place where you have filed it away. You can actually access your old statements online using your credit card online services and review each statement at leisure. When it comes to having a hard copy of the statement, you can also just print out a copy of the statement in case you need it.

When it comes to how fast the statement gets to you, online statements have the advantage over paper statements. This is because you can view your statement online as soon as it is generated, while you have to wait for the paper statement to be posted before you can get your hands on it. Obviously, another advantage of online statements is that it also can't get lost in the post.

Last but not the least, if you are concerned about helping the environment, a major argument for online statements is the amount of paper you help conserve each year. By choosing to do without paper, you can help save trees while still being able to keep track of your credit card balance and due date.
