Crushing and recycling Concrete Crusher is better than throwing it away in landfills
The construction industry currently produces 120 million tones of waste every year. Around 20 million tones of this waste end up in landfill with no reuse and no intrinsic value.
In financial terms the UK is spending 1bn to dump waste in a landfill site.
The cost of landfill is rising by 8 per tonne every year and with fuel costs rising this figure will increase if we do not make some drastic changes to the way we handle our construction waste.
Why would you want to pay all these rising costs when you can crush your concrete crusher and relay the crushed material down as your base product? Or better still sell it. It just makes financial sense to crush your concrete as well as preserving our environment. Owning a Red Rhino crusher will offer you the chance to earn money by hiring it out, save money on your own jobs and look after the environment we live in.
The crushing market is set to grow bucking the general trend of the construction industry. Increasing EU pressure is forcing all businesses to consider how they handle their construction waste. Any construction project over 300,000 by law now has to have written statement how they handle the waste they will produce from the project.
Red Rhino crushers work on a very simple action that calls for two jaws, set in V, to be powered together. Material rocks, bricks, kerbstones entering the top become progressively crushed as they slip down into the V until they are small enough to fall through the gap at the bottom. The size of the finished material is governed by the width of the gap at the bottom. Output can vary from 10mm to 130mm depending on the settings of the jaws
Maintaining the momentum of the crushers through the heavy flywheel is the key to successful crushing. If a particularly tough lump of concrete crusher crusher is encountered there is enough reserve power to crush even the hardest lumps.
The range starts with the 750kg 2000 series increasing in size to the 10,000kg 7000 series. They have a range of crushers to suit every application and budget. The most popular machine is the 5000 series which boasts a massive 20tonnes/hour capacity yet will fit easily on the back of standard 3 tones plant trailer. A useful addition to any plant hire company to earn 500/day crushing concrete.
Sales of concrete crusher have really started to take off in the last 6 months. Red Rhino have recently appointed a Sales Manager, Jason Purllant. He reports that, with the upturn in the construction industry, sales volume is now starting to increase. "Our view is that we now may be coming out of the recession. We are certainly receiving more enquiries and there have been increases in orders."
But it's not just the UK market; Jason says he receives internet enquiries from all over the world. The world market is focused on recycling concrete.
Jason pointed out that the UK is a long way behind the rest of the world in recycling terms. We especially need to review the way we handle the millions of tones of construction waste the UK is producing.
The UK only recycles 15% of all the waste it produces compared to Denmark who recycle 90%. Jason pointed out that we have a long way to go to catch up on our European neighbours. This market is set to grow over the next 5 years.
Just recently, the company secured a contract to supply 24 machines to CHF International, a non-profit organization involved in helping Haiti clear up the mountains of rubble caused by January's devastating earthquake. The crushed rubble will be used in the construction of new schools, hospitals, roads and homes.
"We have importers who deal with the business in various parts of the world. The important part though is to ensure these importers know everything there is to know about the machines, there is no future in selling crushers into a market if we cannot provide excellent back-up for parts and service."
