They follow different religions. Most of the people of Arunachal Pradesh worship Sun and Moon and they mostly follow Buddhism. Tribes of Meghalaya, Mizoram and Nagaland mainly believe in Christianity. Hinduism and Islamism are the main religion of Assam, Manipur and Tripura. More that 220 languages are spoken in these regions. Most uniqueness can be witnessed from the fact that unlike other parts of India, here grooms family gives dowry to bride family at the time of wedding. They do not believe in caste but in clan system. They solemnize social relations with their tribal group only.
