We all know her as the kid who plays Hannah Montana

. Now Miley Cyrus is almost all grown up. With her booming career in acting and singing, her transition to more mature movie roles and her musical works exploding outside the walls of Disney.

However, there is one vestige of childhood she just can't let go of - her love of cupcakes! Yes, Miley Cyrus is a fan of cupcakes.

On her Sweet 16 birthday party at Disneyland, the teen pop star handed out cupcakes to every guest instead of slices of a traditional birthday cake. And, each one had a special surprise. All the cupcakes were iced with two inches of lavender icing. Now that's a cupcake!

Miley Cyrus's love for cupcakes doesn't stop there. Like other famous Hollywood stars, the teen pop star sensation has been spotted all over town "stalking" cupcakes.

Proof Miley's a certified cupcake fanatic was on display to the whole world on her Twitter page when she sent out a tweet to her mom saying: "Mommy look! My face matches my cupcake!!!! :) ". Along with that tweet comes a photo of her with three stars on her cheek and her holding a cupcake frosted with the same three stars on it.

Cupcakes are not just small cakes they help burn sweet memories on our brains. Miley's simple 'hi' to her mom is cemented with cupcake frosting stars into her memories of mom.

Cupcakes have powerful effects on us. They remind of celebrations, special treats and are tied to the best days and things in our memories. The best part is a vivid happy memory of your childhood can be rekindled when you taste the same flavor cupcake - forever.

Maybe you remember the first time you moved into your new apartment and your roommate welcomed you with a bunch of cupcakes. Or the day you realized a triple chocolate fudge cupcake really could replace the guy who never really deserved you.

Just like Miley Cyrus and her song, cupcakes cater to the 'best of both worlds'. It doesn't matter if you are rich or poor, famous or not, cupcakes will always be a delicious and sweet treat for everyone to enjoy.
