Current Trouble With The Iphone

A technological phenomenon as complex and popular as the iPhone is bound to be riddled with issues

. Unfortunately, some of the issues are rather deal-breaking as they take away some of the major functions of the iPhone. With the millions sold throughout the world, it's no wonder that some of these problems are thoroughly documented and researched, though Apple often refuses to take an official stance on the problems, stating it's the user's fault. To provide a bigger picture, here are some of the problems that can plague the fourth generation of Apple's prime product.

Reception

Perhaps one of the most widespread and serious of the problems that plague Apple's phone is the reception. Due to the location of the antenna, there have been reports that holding it in a certain way (ie, the typical way of holding a mobile phone) results in serious reception loss. It's so serious that users can often drop calls due to the lack of reception. The normal way of holding a phone involves palm on the back, thumb gripping one side, fingers gripping the other. A flaw as serious as this that can affect so many people shouldn't be present in a phone of such standing and Apple's only solution, if they even acknowledge the problem, is to purchase a bumper case.

Fragile Materials

Lined with steel, but primarily cased in glass, the 4th iteration of Apple's phone is a fragile one. While it's said to be tougher than plastic by almost twenty times, there have been widespread reports of users dropping it accidentally from waist to head height and it suffering cracks, splits and even shattering. Again, the only real solution is purchasing a third-party or Apple-endorsed bumper case.

Rear-Camera White Balance Problems

For those who rely on their mobile phones for on-the-spot digital photography will be dismayed by this Apple phone's inability to carry out a correct white balance in low light. The result is not white, but more often yellow, which affects the entire outcome of the image. This makes it an undesirable choice for photography on nights out or indoor photography, where light is an issue.

Yellow Discoloration

The materials that are present within the screen seem to possess an issue as users have reported seeing some yellow discoloration behind the screen. This leads to yellow blobs and discoloring and can be very impractical as well as unsightly. It's likely due to the incorrect or lack of treating of the materials and chemicals.
