The call center industry has taken the world by storm in the last couple of decades

. It has become one of the biggest industries in the world. They initially started out as one of the necessities for companies in countries like the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, and Germany among other countries.

These were the countries that were highly advanced, and economically and technologically advanced as well. However, in the years to come most of the call center business was outsourced to Asian countries such as India and China among others. They gradually also became one of the biggest call center industries in the world. Today, India and China both have call centers from around the world and not just the United States of America. Of course, in a country like India, where people are excessively concerned about their job status and the kind of job they take up, there is some stigma attached with call center jobs, but then again it has in fact provided so many jobs to under grads, to students who want to work while they are studying, to people that are just high school graduates, and the like. People need to keep an open mind about the call center industry in the country. Customer service outsourcing has become one of the most important aspects of the call center industry in the world.

Call center services are varied. It is a difficult job as opposed to what most people think it is. They have a fixed schedule and for Asian countries like India who are on the opposite end of the world and where the time zones are different, a lot of the employees work late into the night. Their work shifts could even start at 18:00 hours to about 3:00 hours. In addition to that they have to deal with difficult and sometimes abusive, aggressive and racist customers. So essentially, in addition to the communication skills that one needs to have, one also needs to have a lot of psychological strength and emotional resistance in order to not let it affect you negatively.
