Before going into any relationship, one needs to get some things seriously done. Having said that, here are some basic things you should consider before going into any one.

1. Is your spouse a shy person?

Does your spouse avoid meeting your family or friends? This is a very pertinent question you need to provide a truthful answer to. If your spouse shies away from meeting any of your friends or family member consistently, then, there should be a problem somewhere. It is not an excuse that he/she is a shy person. Despite being a shy person, those that are so dear in your life mean a lot.

2. Are you being carried along?

In planning about the future, does your spouse make plans without involving you, much less of seeking your opinion! If you have an intended spouse who is making plans about the future without inviting you along for the ride, hey! Don't let yourself be deceived by such a person. You do not fit into the future plan.

3. Do you come first?

Are you the top on the V.I.P list? Does he first confide in you when something terrible or good happens? If your answer is no, then you need to re-evaluate your plan in the relationship. Important news such as job promotions, arrival of a new born niece or nephew, sad news about the death of close relative or loved ones should be shared.

4. Are you compatible?

This is one crucial question one needs to ask. Because it is not only all about love, caring e.t.c. Compatibility needs to be considered. If you both are not compatible then the whole thing is not working or else one would have to dissatisfy him/herself to satisfy the other.

5. Trust

Lastly, has your spouse ever violated your trust either in cheating or telling a lie? Trust, when lost its hard to regain. Too often, people take trust for granted and once they loose it, may never get it back.
