DC comics is one of the most respected and oldest companies in the comic book industry. Founded in 1934 as National Allied Publications. They Published the first super hero story in the spring of 1938, ACTION COMICS #1, Which featured the First Appearance of SUPERMAN. Other soon-to-be icons would follow, including BATMAN, WONDER WOMAN, GREEN LANTERN, THE FLASH and and the rest of THE JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA.

DC comics have published the very famous classics like Batman, Superman, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman. Batman is the story of Bruce Wayne who is an industrialist and a philanthropist who witnessed the murder of his parents when he was a child. He vows to avenge his parent's death, trains himself intellectually and physically, and dons a bat-themed costume to fight crime. Batman has become a super hero in his journey to save people.

Superman is if course about Clark Kent who as a baby was shipped to the Earth when chaos occurred in his planet. Two elderly couple in a place called Smallville adopted him. As he gets older, he realizes he is not human and he has supernatural powers. When he started working in a newspaper company, his crusade at saving people who are in danger began. Superman wears a blue suit with a red letter S on the chest. He could fly and has super strength.

The Green Lantern is the term for several super heroes and fictional characters in DC comics. Each green lantern has a power ring that gives its user ultimate control over the physical world as long as he has sufficient strength and willpower. The ring is one of the most powerful weapons in the universe.

Wonder Woman is a famous DC comics character that became a smash TV hit in the 70's. Wonder Woman is an amazon whose task was to bring the Amazon ideals of peace, love and sexual equality. She has superhuman strength, super-speed, super agility and stamina. Wonder woman's name is Diana Prince is she is also highly proficient in hand-to-hand battle. She is grouped with Batman and Superman. Wonder Woman is indeed the most iconic and popular female superhero in DC comics. She is also well known for her immense physical attractiveness.

Today, DC Comics is one of the most popular and largest companies operating in the market for American comic books and other related media. It is a publishing department of DC Entertainment, a subsidiary company of Warner Brothers. DC Comics publishes more than 80 titles a month and over 900+ Comic book issues a year.
