DEFENCE DAY
Pakistan India war II was fought in 1965.The Indo-Pak war of 1965
,was a culimination of skirmishes that took place
between April 1965 and September 1965 between India and Pakistan.Pakistan and India,both countries fought that war for the
issue of Kashmir.In this war lots of people lost their lives from both countries and a lot of weapons were used.Pakistan
national security faced its greatest danger when the India launched her most aggressive attack on Pakistan on 6th September
1965.Pakistan were dragged into a battle of survival against an enemy much larger in size and numbers.Our great heroes
displayed immense courage during this fateful war.Our heroes proved that a nation imbued with the spirit of Jihad cannot be
vanquished even by the mightiest forces.At last,on 6th September,this war was ended with the support of U.N.
In this war,the great heroes to whom awarded NISHAN-E-HAIDER for their sacrifices and bravery were:

* Major Tufail Shaheed
* Major Raja Aziz Bhatti Shaheed
* Major Shabbir Sharif Shaheed
* Major Mohammad Akram Shaheed
* Sarwar Mohammad Hussain
* Lance Naik Mehfooz Shaheed
* Captain Kamal Sher Khan Shaheed
* Havildar lalak Jan
We got success in this war because of principles given to us by the father of the nation,Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah
i.e Unity,Faith and discipline hich is now not present in pakistan's nation.On that day the heroic deeds of our Ghazis gave a
new meaning to the world "bold" and "fearless".
6th September,is important to us as a nation because the Indo-Pak war that followed was fought by Pakistan as a nation
united in its determination and resolve to halt and beat back Indian multidimensional act.
The nation is observing this day every year with a renewed pledge to sacrifice everything to defend the geographical and
ideological frontiers of the country.The day will dawn with special prayers in all the mosques for the wellbeing of the
country.Fateha Khawani will be held at the graves of the Shuhada.Different educational institutions have also arranged
special programmes to highlight the importance of the day.Newspapers will bring out special suppliments with radio and T.V
channels will beam special programmes to mark the day.On that day,Army of Pakistan displays the latest missiles,tanks,guns
etc live on various places.National songs and special documents about 6th September,1965 and martyred people of 6th September
are displayed on T.V.It is told to people how people gave sacrifices for the defence of the country and now it is the
responsibility of young generation.On defence day an environment of patriot passion is generated in the whole country.The
entire nation is proud to the supreme success of its Armed Forces in the war of 1965.Pakistan celebrates this day yet just
for telling native of Pakistan that how people were brave at the critical time and were proud of offering sacrifices of their
lives for the defence of Pakistan.
Today,we as pakistani must promise that we are honour bound to follow their illustrious example and remain always ready
to foil the enemy designs with similar spirit and passion.Let us we decide in our mind that we will do such works which will
be significant for the country and pray for the independence of the country.
In the last I urge all pakistanis to imbibe in themselves the spirit of 1965 which is the need of the hour.We need to
draw strength from our faith in Almighty Allah and reinvigorate ourselves to make Pakistan a truly dynamic,prosperous,
tolerant and democratic welfare state where every citizen can live in peace and harmony.
May ALLAH give us strength and vision to fulfill our obligations to the Pakistan.
