It is now possible to have a DNA test of an unborn child: not quite as simple as the usual test

If the worst comes to the worse, it is possible to engage a lawyer who will attempt to get around the challenges, but this is costly and time consuming. It is possible to ask the registrar to change the details if a mistake has been made, through the deed poll system, but serious evidence will be needed. DNA testing can be part of this, but this is, without doubt, one of the most difficult of legal procedures and one of the challenges that genetic research has conjured up for society.
