DSpace Training to Sri Lankan Delegation coming from University of Colombo by DSpace Team @ Webinito

Webinito has acquired a significant high value project to train a delegation of Library Managers from University of Colombo. Details are still being worked out for the Training program as this Press Release is being released. The proposed date for the Training program is slated for the last week of July.

A total of 23 members are part of the Sri Lankan Delegation that would be arriving at Ahmedabad to attend the Training Program. The work profile of majority of the delegation is that of Library Managers, Heads of IT Department.

Webinito has roped in established subject experts such as Dr. Shailesh Yagnik, Dr. Gayatri Doctor, Mr. Bharat Chaudhari to deliver lectures as part of the Training program. Case Study on KEIC (Knowledge Exchange Information XXXXXXXX) presented by Dr. Shailesh yagnik and their team of Library managers.

Dr. Yagnik would be sharing his teams experience when establishing a Digital Repository right from 1994 and maintaining the repository through 2000 and updating it incorporating new Open Source Technologies such as Green Stone.

This would be followed by a 3 day Training Program at Infocity, Gandhinagar where DSpace team @ Webinito would be providing training to the delegation from University of Colombo. The training shall include sessions on How to Design a Digital Repository, Using DSpace, Understanding the Architecture of DSpace, DSpace setup in a University Environment and Making your DSpace Instance LIVE!

From Webinito team, Hardik Mishra and Rajshekhar Pandey would be the primary team members and would be supported by Founder Rajat Gupta.

At the end of the Training program LIVE CD is planned to be distributed to the members of the delegation which can help them launch a DSpace program without installation and use it.
