Dance classes are a fun and exciting endeavor for me

. I love to watch all the dance competitions on TV. It looked like so much fun that I thought I would take the time to learn to dance. I also knew that dancing is great exercise, and could really keep me toned and healthy.

Since moving to Charlotte, NC to help with my grandkids, I became a bit of a homebody; I would not say that I am isolated, just have a very limited circle of acquaintances. I lived in Houston before I moved here, and had a few friends who wanted me to dance lessons with them. They were in dance classes as a social activity and I had taken a few lessons with them and loved it.

Partner styles

I haven't taken dance lessons before, but I imagine that the best way to meet new people is to learn how to dance partner styles. In Texas, there are lots of western style and line dancing. I cannot wait to see what the favorite style of dance is here in Charlotte, NC. I have already decided on a place to take my lessons.

I went down to the West Charlotte recreational center to ask as to what was the best place to learn to dance, and the young lady behind the counter recommended the dance studio. I looked at their website and they have it all. The program offerings are vast and it looks as if you can learn any type of dancing you want.

Good social fun

There are so many good reasons to learn how to dance, but the main reason is to meet some people who like to do the same things that I do and have a good time. I am sure that when I get to a dance studio that I will be in capable hands. I am confused as to what I should learn first, so I will just put on my soft shoes, and place myself in the hand of one of those wonderful instructors.

I knew there were a lot of dance schools that offered dance classes here in Charlotte, but those girls at the Rec center really knew what they were talking about. Dance studios are indeed a great place to learn to dance. It is easy to see that they have the best teachers and the best facility in the area.

Everyone has smiles on their face and the environment is fun and no pressure. It is the perfect environment for learning and having fun. They also took the time to sit down and work out a dance class schedule that fits my budget.
