Located in the lap of Himalayas, Darjeeling is also called the Queen of the Hills'. It is the most famous state for its Tea all over the world and also for World Heritage Site, Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Company'. The first and the foremost attractive place that pulls the visitors is Ghoom, located at 8km away from Darjeeling. A historic Sakya Monastery is situated in Ghoom and is one of the major landmarks in Darjeeling. The statue of Maithreya Buddha (meaning "The Coming Buddha") is situated in the Monastery. The Monastery has some of the oldest Buddha Manuscript in Tibetan scripts.

Botanical Garden, named as Lloyd Botanical Garden with varieties of flora. It is situated below the Eden Sanatorium, and is open all 7 days. There is no entrance fees, and if you are a botany enthusiast, can surely spend good hours in the garden.

Tiger Hills, situated 13kms away from the town, this spot gives you the spectacular view of the sunrise over the Kanchanjunga Hills. One can also view the highest peak from the Tiger Hills.

Himalayan Mountaineering Institute is one of the oldest institutes set up by Tenzing Norway Sherpa. It is a must see site for the visitors.

Darjeeling Ranjit Valley Passenger Cable Car is the oldest passenger ropeway. It is situated in the North West part of the state. It connects with the Singla Bazaar at the bottom of the valley. It ensures all the safety if the tourists.

Mahakal Temple is the "Holy Hill" situated on the highest peak of the town. The visitors will surely be surprised to see the Hindu Monk and the Buddhists Monk sharing the same alter.

Kalimpong is the city situated near Darjeeling at the height of 1250 m Gouripur Market, Kalimpong Market, Golf Course are some of the famous tourists spot in the place.

Kurseong is the city near Darjeeling at the height of 1458 m. It is known for its calmness. Eagle's Crag which offers a panoramic view of the Siliguri plains and hills is located here.
