There are a lot of unstable people in this world that think Date Washington DC will help them find an easy target to assault. This is not to say that all women are unaware of the danger signs when it comes to men, but even the sharpest of women can be conned and find themselves in very dangerous situations.
There was a woman who wanted to get a date through an online matching site. She and this handsome, charming man first met at a coffee bar and her first mistake was giving out her phone number and address. The next day five-dozen roses of all different colors arrived at her apartment. She found this kind of odd considering she only spent two hours talking with him. And even though they really hit it off and shared interests and hobbies she thought the roses were overkill and began to get a little nervous about this man. The lesson so far is never give out your personal information until you are completely comfortable doing so.
So for her, Date Washington DC was getting a bit scary. She thought it would be impolite not to call him and say thank you so she did. He used his extremely manipulative charm to ask her out again and said he had a very special evening planned for her. First he took her to a show, then out to one of the finest restaurants in Washington D.C. After dinner he suggested they go to a hotel bar for a nightcap. So she went to the hotel where he had actually booked a room for their nightcap!!!
At this point she should have just left, but as she said later she didn't think anything would go wrong. But everything did. He slipped her a Rohypnol (a roofie) and sexually assaulted her. When she woke up in the morning she had no memory what happed, put her clothes on and went home. She knew she was raped because her bra was on the floor and she was barely dressed. Apparently he does this to many women he meets through an online date.
This is just one horrible story from Date Washington DC and it's very rare. But you women have to be careful and watch for warning signs. Sometimes they are hard to see but it's really important that you protect yourself by telling someone you're out on a date and call them every hour or so (tell your date you need to use the bathroom) and let them know you're okay. If they don't hear from you for two hours they should call the police or take some kind of action. Again, this rarely happens but you can never be too careful.
