David Warner - An Explosive Batsman

David Andrew Warner is an Australian cricketer who is well known as the left-handed batsman who scores quick runs

. He was born on 27th October, 1986 at Paddington in Sydney. He is popular amongst his friends as Lloyd or bull also known as Snow White. He is known to be an infinitesimal and chancy opening batsman who many bowlers dread bowling too. He is also the first ever Australian cricketer who was selected for a national team in 132 years without having any experience in first-class cricket.

David Warner has been playing since the age of thirteen. He is known to have broken the under sixteen record for the Sydney Coastal Cricket Club and also made his international debut when he toured Sri Lanka with the Australian under nineteen players. Ever since his younger days Warner has been known to be a hard hitter of the ball who has the ability to quickly switch from left to right depending on the ball. He is also a part-time spin bowler. David is also popular for his bowling skills as well, as he combines off-spin bowling techniques with the leg-spin bowling style to render a tweak on the bowling style.

David Warner is well known for favoring his aerial route for his aggressive batting for which he gets the power from his strong forearms coupled with the gravitational pull which has been instrumental in delivering hit after hit. It was in January 2009 that Warner was included in the Australian Twenty20 squad to play against South Africa in Melbourne Cricket Ground. For the series he replaced Matthew Hayden. The Twenty20 game is an engaging format as each team plays just 20 overs thus finishing the game in less than four hours. The formats popularity led the establishment of several T20 league tournaments in different nations one of them being IPL, a professional T20 league in India.

With numerous double and triple digit scores to his bucket becoming an inevitable option for the Indian Premier League was not a difficult choice. If one was to go through Warners batting score board then 89 off just 43 balls including 7 fours and 6 sixes in his International Twenty20 debut is not to be missed. Warner is also the proud batsman to own the second-fastest fifty in Twenty20 International to his name. It was for the 2009-2010 season that David Warner was signed by the Indian Premier Leagues team - the Delhi Daredevils. He will work towards achieving the champions title along with Virender Sehwag and many more. He has signed a two year deal with the franchise being the second New South Wales player to be signed by the leagues franchises after Moises Henriques being bided by the Kolkata Knight Riders fir the 2009 season.

The other players across various franchises dread David Warner not only for his batting skills but also for his bowling skills. The Delhi franchise is proud to retain Warner particularly when they outbid the others at the IPL Player Auction 2011. And in 2012 IPL he would open the batting for the team along with Virender Sehwag.
