Dead Battery
It's a gut wrenching feeling; you get back to your car after a hard day at work and
realise that you had left the lights on all day, and your battery is now flat. Car is completely inactive, and it's the last thing you need after a hard day at the office. And to top it off, it's probably raining. After all, this is England. The problem is compounded by the fact that the clever little devices in our cars all draw on the electricity it produces, so drain the battery quicker than a car would twenty years ago.
But a new device, launched by car accessory company Ring Automotive could see the stress of the flat battery being greatly reduced. They have come up with a clever range of solar powered chargers which use the rays of the sun to keep your cars battery fully charge at all times. You plug the maintainer into the cigarette lighter, and position the solar panel within the car for maximum sunlight, and then when it is charged, attach it to the battery to recharge. The company even claim that their product works in overcast situations, so perfect for the daily conditions of England. The product had two and a half metres of wiring so makes it really easy for you to position it to get maximum sunlight, and costs 20 for the smallest panel, with 50 for a large solar charger.
Car Insurance customers could see this being a revolution in the stress of a dead battery!
