From attorney to interior designer, Barbara Droogan has worked hard to be where she is and is proud to have followed her dreams

. Her business partner, Cecelia Catando, a former speech therapist feels the same way. With their very own interior design company, Beautiful on the Inside, LLC, Barbara Droogan and her friend Cecelia Catando feel that they have finally made it. They are glad to have made the jump to own their own company.

Barbara Droogan has always loved interior design and wishes that she had grown up during the era of HGTV. She says that when she was younger she used to rearrange and redecorate her room all the time despite her parents frustrations. Like so many other people, Barbara grew up and with age, her dreams of becoming an interior designer got replaced by becoming an attorney and a mother. But she still really wanted to go to design school. One day, while Barbara was at the community pool watching her children, Cecelia approached her with a business idea. They knew each other at the time, but they werent close friends. Cecelia told Barbara that she wanted to start an interior design company and she thought that Barbara would be perfect for it. Barbara told Cecelia about her dreams and recent attempts to check out interior design schools in the area. Thats when their dreams began to become a reality. Barbara and Cecelia began taking classes at Delaware College of Art and Design in Wilmington, Delaware. In 2006, Beautiful on the Inside, LLC by Barbara Droogan and Cecelia Catando began.

Barbara says that the company has been such a success because of how well her and Cecelia work together. "We each have different decorating strengths that we bring to a particular project, whether it be selecting paint colors, designing furniture arrangements or drafting floor plans for a new bathroom, which in the end benefits our clients because we mesh together so well." Barbara says that soon after completing just a few classes in design school their business began to take off. Most of their client base began with friends and family and has progressed with the introduction of remodeling contractors and more friends. Beautiful on the Inside, LLC is involved with lots of renovation projects including kitchens, bathrooms, custom tile layouts, lighting design, window treatments, decorating, real estate staging and any kind of remodeling job large or small.

Barbaras first introduction to Federal Brace was when she decided to remodel her own kitchen. She noticed that she needed a bracket for an 18 overhang on her kitchen island. She started doing some research and thats when she came across them. In an interview with Barbara, she explained that Broc Seifert with Federal Brace was very helpful with the installation process. He sent emails, diagrams, and even a video to Barbaras installer so that it would be simpler to install the brackets. Broc was a valued asset as were the other team members at Federal Brace, Barbara declared. She states that she loves the sturdiness and very high quality of her Freedom brackets.
