Never Ending Life

Dear Mom:

Jesus asked me to say hi and tell you He loves you. I'm sorry I can't be there with you, but God wanted me to come home sooner than we all thought I would.

I'm writing to you because I know how much you are missing me I'm missing you too. I bet it is hard being the only female in our family again and I can hardly wait for the heavenly week to be up so you will be here with me.

I have to admit that heaven is full of unbelievable and wondrous things. I have never felt so happy, so fulfilled, so alive!

I want you to know that the way you and dad handle my losing fight with cancer showed many people how special your relationship is with Jesus! Your unselfish, loving and faithful way of life persuaded many of these people to seek Jesus as their personal Savior. They will now be able to share eternity in heaven. God still needs to work on them, but your example planted the seeds that made them look to Jesus. I know that this is not easy for you to understand, but by losing me for a short time, God used us to gain people we would have lost forever.

God did the same thing with his own son. He allowed His only son to be humiliated, beaten and crucified for us, as unworthy as we are, so that those of us who believe in Him can live with Him in heaven forever. Imagine how much He loves us!

Anyway, heaven is great! Jesus is here all the time, as he is on earth. He's just easier to see in heaven because here we know exactly where and how to see Him.

You should also know that everything the Bible writes about heaven is true. The streets are paved in gold. Beautiful buildings are trimmed in diamonds. Jewels are everywhere. No one goes hungry and we all live in the most glorious mansions. More importantly, we are always with Him and His unconditional LOVE!

It is difficult to describe everything that is here in words. No matter how much we read or hear about heaven, it only allows us the tiniest insight of what heaven truly is. You simply must be here before you can begin to appreciate its true magnificence.

I have to go now. I am meeting with Peter and Paul about an assignment God has in store for us. I'll write again soon.
