Debate - Should Your Custom Logo Design Be Unique -or- Not?

You know, all the industries now face intense competition and due to the World Wide Web

, global businesses now compete against each other. Such intense competition in all the industries has made it difficult for designers to come up with unique design ideas. For example, coming up with a unique logo for a restaurant, caf or fast food joint wont be easy.

You will feel like as though all the good ideas and designs have already been created. Such thinking results in a same traditional Custom Logo Design that has been created already. For example, if you have to create a Custom Logo Design for a restaurant and if you think that you can only show a knife, fork, BBQ Grill or something like that, then your Custom Logo Design wont really stand out. Its your creativity that will make the difference here.

Two Different Views:

There are different views on this. Some people think that uniqueness is not good. Some people say that its good to be unique, but your logo must have the power to pull people.

Unique Logo Is Not Necessary:

Now, those who say that there is no need to make your logo unique present their argument that in order for a new business to make its place in the market, they must have a logo similar to their competitors. For example, if you run a fast food restaurant, then its good to have a BBQ grill in your logo. This helps your target market perceive you correctly and instantly realize what sort of business you run.

They also say that when you come up with a uniquely designed logo, your customers expect you to offer more than your competitors and when you cant offer unique services, then they get disappointed and you may actually ruin your business. They suggest that if you are selling, lets say burgers, then you must work on making the food more delicious. With your Custom Logo Design you will bring visitors, but its the quality of food that will help you retain your customers.

Unique Logo Is Necessary:

Those who say that your logo must be unique, disagree with those who believe in focusing more on product than branding. Their argument is that it is your logo that gives a visual identity to your business and if it is unique then it will most certainly help your business stand out. People tend to take interest in things that look different. Thus, it is a great marketing tactic to attract your audience. However, please remember that when you create a unique design, you must always ensure that it is relevant to your industry and particular business.

Which View Is Better:

Both views are equally good and you cant say that one is better than the other. People suggest strategies based on their own experience. So, the best thing to do is to try different things and see which one is better for your business. This is the best way to determine which marketing strategy is better for your business.
