From this number
1 indicates place value ten.
9 indicates place value one.
6 indicate '6/10' (tenths decimal place)
7 indicate '7/100' (hundredths decimal place)
8 indicate '8/1000' (thousandths decimal place)

Solution:
Given that, 11.9+15.7-0.5+0.8
Numbers of digits behind decimal point are equal.
Step 1: Adding positive numbers,
= 11.9+15.7 +0.8
= 28.4.
Step 2: Negative integer add to the primary step
= 28.4 0.5
= 27.9
The solution is 27.9
Example 2:
Calculate the following 18.2+0.19-19.7+1.3
Solution:
= 18.2+0.19-19.7+1.3
Numbers of digits behind decimal points are equal.
Step 1: Adding positive numbers,
= 18.2+0.19+1.3
= 19.69
Step 2: Negative number add to the initial step
= 19.69 1.3
= 18.39
The solution is 18.39
