Bed sheets make wonderful curtains. Flat sheets normally have wide hems at both ends that are left open and it very easy to slip a curtain rod through. Parchment and butcher paper are also becoming incredibly popular in many design magazines. They are sold cheaply by the roll and are easy to stencil and pleat for additional style. It is a quick and fun afternoon project that adds character to any room. If it is possible, window etching is a great solution for attractive dcor and requires very little skill. There is a solution for every budget no matter what the goal is, but it will take a little extra creativity and patience.
