Defending Your Works Of Art; Learn How To Protect Your Nao By Lladro Porcelain Figurines.

If you haven't already begun collecting NAO art

, you'll want to read my other article, "Little People Frozen in Time: The secret behind the exotic allure of Lladro Nao exposed." (visit the link in the following section)

Or, If you're already a collector/buff, then you really should look at this. This article will equip its readers with the knowledge you need in order to make certain that your precious models receive the care they are entitled to, and maintain that distinctive, pristine quality that we adore NAO handcrafted works of art for.

See awesome NAO advice for more advice on Nao by Lladro hand crafted porcelain figurines for hobbyists and enthusiasts.

I have been an artist for a little more than 10yrs and an art-history buff for about four. I've experienced first-hand what it feels like to have my creations and purchased artwork slowly corrode and lose the characteristics that first captivated me, mostly because of carelessness, or even displaying them under in the wrong environment. I have discovered this the hard way, and this is why I repeat that these lessons are very useful.

As brilliant as the formula behind it may be, Nao by Lladro porcelain collects dirt you need to clean it. Step one to do this is BE CAREFUL, it truly is very easy to knock over your figurines when cleansing them. So I can't stress this enough; handle them with absolute care.

Firstly, place your figurine on a puffy fabric. This is a precautionary measure that may save your figurine if it falls over when cleaning. Then, you need to dust it. I recommend using a basting brush or something similar. Get rid of the heavy dust by carefully brushing it until you're content. After you're done, tape over the small opening that is often on the underside of the nao figurine. After, soak up moderately soapy water with a medium-sized sponge (never use bleach or related products). slowly compress the sponge over the nao collectible and let the soapy water pour over it (NEVER put(dip) the porcelain character directly in water as this could allow water to seep in and spoil it after a while). Next, wipe over the collectible figurine carefully with a tender cloth (cotton is perfect). To finish, carefully rinse the collectible with clear water and leave it to air dry.

Before you make a choice about where to keep your valuable Nao by Lladro assortment, it's essential to keep a few things in mind. To begin with, you must keep the collectibles away from direct sunlight. Long-term exposure to direct sunlight will bleach a porcelain figurine. Also, they must be away from kids and pets (this sounds like a "duh" moment but it's still vital). Next, (the real "duh" moment) you have to position them away from dust and dirt. I suggest a glass display cabinet. It's the perfect place where they are safe, and also on display.

Follow these strategies and you can savor the beauty of your figurines for a long time to come.
