There are different reasons for creating partitions in drives, and these range from separating different operating systems, dedicating spaces just for operating systems and application programs, or simply separating documents and media files from one another.
However, there are times when we accidentally delete a partition where our OS or programs are located. When we edit our partitions using FDisk or any other kind of partition program, one may get careless and unintentionally manipulate a partition to oblivion. Therefore, how can we recover deleted partitions from our drives?
The procedure to recover deleted partition is basically the same with recovering lost & deleted data. There are tons of third party software out there that you can run to recover a lost or deleted partition. You can download one from the Internet for free, or you can buy those that perform better.
After installing it and running it on your computer, try to locate the drive which contained the lost partition, and allow the program to scan and identify that partition. Once it finds that deleted partition, you can then utilize the software to add it to the list of existing partitions. If successful, you can view the files of that recovered partition yourself using the program.
