Delhi is Ready for Opening Ceremony of CWG 2010

Breaking News! After a criticism in galore, New Delhi is finally ready to host the Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2010 with 6,700 athletes

. With one day left for the opening ceremony of the mega sports event, the city capital gets thumbs up from media as well as foreign delegates.

A head of inauguration of the CWG, Delhi was trying to complete its task receiving negative publicity. More than 5,800 foreign delegations have already arrived in the city and accommodated in a safe way. More delegates are expected to arrive on Saturday.

Looks like Delhi is overtaking Melbourne, where the CWG was hosted in 2006. Despite all the criticism regarding the security concerns and the threat of dengue and Swine flu in the city, foreign media are impressed with the arrangements for the delegates and the sportsmen.

As the British royal family has already been arrived in India, the Games will get boost after the arrival of International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge. It is reported that Olympic gold-medalist shooter Abhinav Bindra will be the flag-bearer for India at the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony, which is scheduled to take place on October 3, 2010 at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium.
