Department of Trade and Industry given the DTI Bagwis Award to Bitstop Network Services Incorporated

DTI awarded the DTI Bagwis Certified Establishment Silver Award for Specialty Store and Repair & Service Shop Category to Bitstop Network Services Inc. last October 22, 2010 which was held at CSI City Mall, San Fernando City, La Union.

Philippine Government DTI 11 Regional Director Marizon S. Loreto said that in patronizing the products and services offered by the DTI Bagwis Seal awardees, consumers are assured of quality. One of the DTI Bagwis Program's goals is to ensure that quality and safe goods, products, and services at affordable prices are available at DTI-certified establishments. Thus, consumers can really count on these store or shops.

Pushing for business competitiveness and consumer protection, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has launched the Bagwis Award that gives due recognition to business establishments that consistently provide consumer-friendly products and services to the public.

The award, initially called the DTI Certified Establishment (CE) Program and was recently renamed as the DTI Bagwis Award, is given to outstanding business establishments that uphold the rights of consumers and foster the highest level of ethical business practices through "self-policin" mechanisms' so as to achieve a fair and honest marketplace. It intends to give due recognition to business that strictly adheres to fair trade laws (FTLs), operates a clean and orderly workplace, promotes good employee-employer relationship, and excels in customer relations, among other factors.

Moreover, through the DTI Bagwis Award, the Department encourages the installation of a Consumer Welfare Desk (CWD) or a DTI-recognized customer-service counter that provides information to consumers and serves as mechanism for speedy resolution of consumer complaint.

With the Bagwis Seal of Excellence displayed on stores or shops, consumers are guided in choosing the establishments that offer quality products and efficient services at reasonable prices to be protected from unlawful trade practices and to get fair deals that are worth their hard-earned money.
