Derek Castleberry Healthy Living - Get Up Get out Get Active
Exercising on the daily basis is a habit that you have to allow your body time to embrace. Every January the motivation to start an exercise routine is very high, but as time goes on the crash and burn syndrome is almost guaranteed. This is the reasons why I never advise my clients to go out and spend hundreds of dollars on expensive equipment until they have first developed a habit of exercising.
Once you do something for 30 consecutive days it becomes part of your daily routine. Even if it's as simple as getting up in the morning and doing 15 push-ups, if you do it for 30 consecutive days then your body will begin to expect that the day will start with 15 push-ups. Somewhere along the way we have made exercising far too complicated and scientific when all that is required is for you to get off your butt, get outside, and start doing something.
As normal aging sets in alone with the hectic routines of everyday life, developing a habit of exercising can become even more challenging. Sure there's tons of workout equipment offered via late night infomercials but a lack of equipment has never really been the reason many people avoid exercise, the real reason is they haven't developed the habit.
As part of the coaching for this month I would like for you to keep it really simple and concentrate on getting outside, and getting active. If you would like to receive this coaching series please visit my blog
