The labels are useful for everything. They can be used for mailing, CD, and jars. They are important to provide the significant information, such as the titles of song, addresses, or the ingredients of a certain product.
If you have your own business and need to produce labels, it is suggested for you to use Microsoft Word. Using this software, you can design and produce your professional labels that are suitable with your needs.
Microsoft Word usually includes some templates of label to help you get started. If you do not own this software, you can use desktop publishing software, like Microsoft Publisher or Serif PagePlus, which is free. You can also use a program that is specifically used for making labels, like WorldLabel. Instead of Microsoft Word, those programs mentioned above have templates to help you make labels. However, they use the label-specific software programs that are only useful if you create labels on a regular basis.
Among all of those software programs, Microsoft Word is the most common Word processor in the market. This program is also capable of all sorts of productivity tasks. In short, for this task, this is a good software option.
The first step to design the labels is opening Word and pushing the button of "Start". You should choose the "New" command and opt the template category of "Labels". Then, you should choose the category for the label type you want to make.
A template is a pre-designed label that has texts and graphics that are already in place. All you should do is replacing the graphics and texts by yourself. Pick the category of "Mailing and Shipping" and choose "Business." This presents you with a number of shipping labels and explains the corresponding.
Then, you should click on the text of template to edit it. Replace the text of generic template with your own by choosing the text and typing your text over it. After starting to type the text that is selected, the generic text will disappear and your text will replace it.
Related to the font of the text, you can choose to keep it or modify it by choosing your text, right-clicking your mouse, and opting "Font" from the menu. In this case, it is suggested for you to choose the font that can be read easily. But, mainly, pick the font that you want.
Next, you should click the image in the template. Hit the key of "Delete" to get rid of the image of template. Thus, you are able to replace it with your own. Then, you should go to the menu of "Insert", choose the command of "Picture", and browse to the folder on your computer where your image is located.
Related to the size of the image, Word automatically sizes the image that is suitable with your label. To make your image larger or smaller, you can click the handles attached to the editing box around the image and drag them.
