Get the right information; there is nothing as bad as when you act on things hurriedly only to finds that you end up messing everything just because you are desperate for the job. Being in a hurry and not letting yourself understand what is required of you sees you ending up sending wrong details to the company. To avoid wasting a chance which you could maybe have won if you were careful, be slow in ensuring that you read the details of what the job entails.

Make sure that you are ready and can do the job: the problem with us is that we when we become desperate we are ready for anything, anything even the one that we can barely do.
