. The iMod device has built-in support of communication protocols such as Modbus, Mbus, and TCP/IP.

The iMod telemetric module uses a built-in www server - Apache - with PHP and database support (SQLite and PSQL) for the purpose of giving access to data. The universality of this method of data access results from the fact that the WWW interface made by the user works with every browser and enables constant browsing of information registered by the iMod device. In order to make a simple WWW interface, one need only know the basics of the HTML and PHP languages and must know how to use databases.

iMod configuration

In order to read data using an internet browser, the iMod must first be configured correctly. For this purpose, the example1-hardware_access.xml file, found in the /mnt/mtd/iMod/config/example directory, will be used. This configuration is also the default configuration on the iMod and ensures access to the hardware resources of the device. Registration of data to the database in the iMod is active to the SQLite base by default. It is, however, possible to send a value straight from the iMod engine to a local or external PostgreSQL base.

Database

The second step is to create an exemplary php file that will gprs router read all parameters declared earlier and control them. All parameters defined in the configuration file are registered in the SQLite database found in the direktory. The default database contains columns corresponding to the elements that the user is able to define in iMod configuration.

PHP configuration
